Manchester City Star Gundogan To Reject Barcelona

Ilkay Gundogan has two years remaining on his £90,000-a-week deal at the Etihad Stadium and appears happy to extend his stay under Pep Guardiola. The 27-year-old is also attracting interest from AC Milan and clubs in the Bundesliga. But, according to The Sun, he is keen to commit his long-term future and sign improved terms. They claim Gundogan ‘loves’ playing under Guardiola and is comfortable in Manchester. Gundogan was among the first of Guardiola’s new signings when he took over the managerial hotseat at City in 2016. Though his first season was disrupted by the recurrence of a serious knee injury, he played a key role in their record-breaking Premier League success last year. Gundogan helped them to a league and Carabao Cup double in 2018, making 48 appearances across the board and scoring six times.

EPL: Robinho explains why he did not do well at Manchester City

Former Manchester City star, Robinho has revealed why he didn’t do well at the Etihad Stadium. According to Robinho, he did not perform well at City because he wasn’t surrounded by great players during his time with the Premier League champions. The ex-Brazilian international joined City from Real Madrid for £32.5 million in 2008. The 34-year-old was meant to be the man to kick start City’s new chapter but it never really worked out at the Etihad, with the last six months of his Citizens career spent on loan at Brazilian side, Santos. He, however, scored 14 goals in 41 league games for the Citizens before he moved to AC Milan for half of his City fee after 18 months in the Premier League and won a Serie A winner’s medal in his first season in Italy. “At Milan, I was surrounded by great players; it wasn’t the same at City,” Robinho told FourFourTwo. “From the day I arrived, I could see City’s project was destined to be a success and the club would grow – bu...

England manager, Southgate speaks on Ademola Lookman choosing to play for Super Eagles

England manager, Gareth Southgate has said they are doing everything possible to stop Ademola Lookman from switching allegiances to play for Nigeria. The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) are confident they can tempt the Everton winger, even though he is a regular for the Three Lions’ Under-21 side. London-born Lookman is eligible to play for the Super Eagles through his parents. But Southgate remains confident they can keep the 20-year-old, who had an impressive spell on loan at Germany’s RB Leipzig last season. “I know every country is quite aggressive in their recruiting and I know they have always had an interest in him, but he is playing and has been in our squads, the 20s, 21s. “So in terms of encouragement through game time, we are doing as much as we possibly can,” Southgate told the UK Mirror

Real Madrid will return for PSG star Neymar next summer, according to Le10Sport.  The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Blancos, and the club has made contact with his father to explore a transfer in the summer of 2019.  A deal is by no means a certainty, however, with Madrid still required to find an agreement with both Neymar and PSG. Zinedine Zidane is keen to get back into coaching - but what will be the Real Madrid legend's next challenge? “I am definitely going to coach again soon,” he told Spanish television station RTVE. “It’s what I like doing and it’s what I’ve done my whole life.”  Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have all emerged for possibilities, while he may have to wait a while for a chance at the France job.
